Our strategic partners play prominent roles throughout the high technology value chain. For example, we can provide our fabless semiconductor design portfolio companies with access to high quality and cost-effective integrated circuit manufacturing through our deep relationships with leading semiconductor foundries as well as with back-end package, test and distribution partners. With increasing levels of integration and the continued momentum of the System-on-a-Chip (SOC) trend, chip companies will also need to work closely with our ODM / OEM partners to supply complete modules and sub-systems to the end customer. Finally, our system partners benefit both chip and component vendors, as well as our other system-level portfolio companies by providing opportunities for growth-generating strategic relationships.
Our advisory board is comprised of technology leaders, successful entrepreneurs and industry consultants who provide us with investment ideas and insight in a number of key areas, including investment strategy in both Asia and Silicon Valley. We work actively with our advisory board members and often seek their guidance when evaluating a potential investment or helping a portfolio company solve a particularly difficult business issue.
